Wise teachers have told me that everything we do as a teacher is rooted in our history, our beliefs, and our passions. To understand the decisions we make as a teacher, we have to dig deep into ourselves. This is not always the most pleasant experience, but I have found it the most successful in understanding myself as a teacher and the most rewarding in striving to be a better teacher.
I don’t usually have a lesson plan when I venture out into the forest with my K/1’s.
I had planned to try to write posts that were chronological in order, but this goes against the very core of my being. So, I will dash around all over the place as my little heart desires.
Starting a K/1 forest program was not easy. It was petrifying. I had my fair share of sleepless nights over whether it was a good decision or not.
